Residents of the Veterans Memorial Home Experienced
High Performance Action

As part of our community outreach program, the Schattenbaum Region hosted its first Veterans Appreciation Day at the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville.
On Monday, October 6 a group of nine Veterans from the New Jersey Veterans Home in Vineland experienced the thrill of riding in track prepared
Porsches at the Lightning Circuit, a 1.9 mile road course at the Motorsports Park. After a quick look at the cars in action during the Drivers Education event,
the Veterans were belted into the cars for spirited touring laps on the track. Finally the Vets were treated to lunch to conclude the day’s outing.
The new multimillion dollar NJ Motorsports Park is in Millville and the Veterans Memorial Home is in nearby Vineland. It just makes sense to share
our love for sports cars and motorsport activities with the residents of the Home. These folks don’t get out that often and we have found out that many
of the residents are motorsports enthusiasts. It is our way of thanking the Vets and providing them with lasting memories.
